Washington, D.C. (July 15, 2005) — Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) is scheduled to open the 133-room Courtyard by Marriott in Lancaster, Pennsylvania this July. Located at 1931 Hospitality Drive, the Courtyard Lancaster will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by High Hotels, Ltd. of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Located 10 miles from downtown and 35 miles from the Harrisburg International Airport, the Courtyard Lancaster offers guests convenient access to Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre, Strasburg Railroad and the Amish attractions. Rates begin at $119 per night.

Meeting the evolving needs of the traveler, Courtyard has redesigned its public space. The new concept includes, wireless internet access in all rooms, lobbies and public spaces, a business library featuring individual workstations with high-speed data ports and ergonomic chairs; a pantry-style, 24-hour "grab and go" food and beverage area called The Market; and a lounge area where guests can work, meet and dine in a relaxing setting.
The five-story hotel offers 600 square feet of meeting space to accommodate small meetings and functions up to 40 people. Other guest facilities and services include the Courtyard Cafe restaurant, serving breakfast with made to order eggs, an indoor swimming pool with whirlpool spa, exercise room and guest laundry.
Courtyard guest rooms feature either a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, a seating area with sofa bed or oversized chair, a large, well-lit work desk and two telephones equipped with data ports. The Courtyard Lancaster features five suites with a king-size bed, refrigerator and microwave oven. The hotel also offers Marriott's new, more luxurious bedding, which features plusher mattresses, softer sheets, more pillows and a fresh, white look, which will be freshly laundered for each new guest. Other in-room amenities include coffee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron with ironing board, and cable television with a free premium movie channel.
